What’s something that most people don’t understand? That glyconutrients save patient from death’s door. Michael Schlachter, M.D. a board-certified internist n Las Vegas, uses glyconutrient therapy with his patients.

Dr. Schlachter has used glyconutritional therapy on patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (also known as ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease), asthma, and cardiomyopathy. But his most compelling story involves a patient he saw in a Las Vegas area hospital suffering with streptococcal toxic shock syndrome. While toxic shock used to be associated primarily with tampon use, doctors now know that this blood borne infection, caused by the streptococcal or staphylococcus bacterium can strike anyone.

Dr. Schlachter told me that when he encountered the patient, “He was literally at death’s door.” After several weeks battling his sickness at home, then several days of hospitalization and aggressive treatment with antibiotics, the patient was deteriorating rapidly and experiencing multi-organ failure. Dr. Schlachter stepped in and asked the family for permission to treat with glyconutritionals. They agreed, and according to Dr. Schlachter, just a few hours after he administered a large dose of glyconutrients through the patient’s feeding tube, the patient’s condition began improving.
